ya I much prefer your wagons nose over that one Cody lol, the fender/corner combo does nothing for me on that feoa link lol...bleh!

edit: since I'm awesome at over thinking things, think the Wagon rear springs would be a higher rate than my Protege LX? I have all 4 OEM springs still and access to some lightly used SR struts lol..don't even have it yet and I have parts piling up already :/ haha

I'm not saying mine is perfect, or that my way is the right way... But it seems simpler unless you specifically want the 323 trailing edge. I love the 323 edge on protege's... but to me when it's on a laser/escort, something looks wrong. As far as that white wagon, I like the outcome, but I really dislike the nose of ALL USDM 90-93 protege'. That's why I put the slant nose on my 4wd, and my wagon. I feel that if you are going to do the work to put protege front clip parts on an Escort, the slant hood is what makes it worthwhile... (especially with a fog grille!)

As far as springs, the wagon you are going to look at almost certainly has broken rear springs... So yeah the rate is going to be higher, but it's gonna have a saggy ass, unless someone replaced the springs within the last five years. Unbroken, I'd venture to say without any numbers in front of me that it is possible the spring rates are higher, but not guaranteed. If you are worried about sedan springs sagging, I wouldn't. I had EGT springs on my first wagon years ago, for a while before running the EGT Eibachs. Both sets sat fine without the ass looking low.

Yeah the slightly higher spring rate shouldn't matter, especially considering the wagon is lighter than the GT by a few pounds...

hey CP! WTF is that blue wire running under the ECU for? Interior power? My harness is missing the small ground wire in that same plug...just want confirmation it's for daytime running lights or something lol...my Protege doesn't have it, and the MX-3 harness does...only thing I can think of right meow.

Yesterday, I got the protege ready for the enduro race that is scheduled for today.

Had to change a few things on it since I'm not going to be the one racing it.

Had to install a stock seat, as my grandpa hates racing seats for their lack of comfort. This was a huge job, as the racing seat brackets were welded in place, and I had to cut them out, which took forever.... Then the stock seat's reclining mechanism wouldn't clear the door bar padding, so we had to remove the padding. And then we figured out we were missing the bracket for the stock seat, so I had to go pull it out of my 323 shell.

We had to fix the hood so that he could see over it, as he's shorter than me, and the hood was all wavey from getting in so many wrecks.

Oh, and we are trying low profile tires on it for the first time. Hopefully they hold up and don't don't spin coming out of the corners. We tried it once before, and they spun like crazy and they came apart. But now I have no front sway bar, so inside tire should have more traction, and it's a different brand of tire, so hopefully it will hold up better.
