        i wouldnt mind having a 2 door imprezza.say around a 95-98. especially if it were a 2.5 rs.
anyways, i installed my corksport braided stainless clutch line and flushed and re bled my brake lines... and theres still room for improvement.
hopefully tomorrow i can get a new axle and wheel bearing.
loves BGs too much for his own good...

93 pro lx. daily runaround until a straight shell can be had.
73 datsun 260z, yet another project in need of more love.

Heh, it's still on All-seasons (aka no-seasons) so it IS actually quite fun right now.

The subie is the perfect DD for while I'm concocting evil things with the Mazdas in the other, detached heated garage. It's got a decent amount of torque, is nice and quiet and smooth and comfortable, the gear ratios are freakin' awesome, the AWD system actually acts like AWD instead of RWD, and there's no drone at highway speeds so I can actually hear the radio! And my girlfriend likes it too. It's quiet (escort wagon, 323 and blue 4WD are definitely not) .She's happy that it's actually got an interior! no sharp metal bits poking around (gray 4WD)! and it doesn't smell like gas is leaking somewhere (AE86).

and, it's so absolutely rust-free it almost hurts to drive it right now. Granted, the mazdas aren't really that far behind the subie in the rust department, they're pretty stinkin' clean too.

basically, it's a nice interim car to use while catching up on mainenance and modification of all my other cars, so I don't have to scramble to get everything done on in just one day. So now the plan is to hopefully have an E153-drivetrained, 300+whp BPT'd 4WD Protege ready to hit BIR in June at the MAP Proving Grounds. If all goes well, I should be able to lay the smack down on all the STi's and EVOs that my friends own, lol!

and that photo of the subie wagon really didn't look overly exciting, I'll admit.
here's another one that seems to be showing a wee bit more action....

But if it helps, Mazda is still being well-represented at the Ice-rallyes.....

That wing is good for 1.5 - 2+ seconds per run.

and a Mazdaspeed 3 was in attendance as well!

I'm guessing you're just joking about the wing being effective? lol, I can't tell if you are or not.

Did a leak down test on mine, the results were interesting and a bit puzzling.

                  1 - 35% loss
                  2 - 32% loss
                  3 - 75% loss
                  4 - 27% loss

So obviously something is very wrong with cylinder 4. Listening for where the leak is yields a little bit out the oil cap, nothing from the exhaust and next to nothing from the EGR bung on the manifold but quite a lot through cylinder 4's spark plug hole... the thing that has me confused is that if it was travelling through the intake valves I would thing I should be able to hear it at the cylinder and if it was travelling between the cylinders through the head gasket or something then I would see similar results in 4. So basically I'm at a loss, my Dad recommended putting half a liter of ATF in with the nex tank of gas to clear some carbon out and then try again so that's my plan for now.

No, I'm absolutely serious. They tested it with wing off, and wing on. And Bartek, one of the drivers, had every single run within 0.5 seconds of each other, so super consistent driving.

Plus, you can literally see the wing doing its job, with the snow mist flying off the back....

Any security cameras around to see the plate of the car the did it? Then you can go to the police and get them arrested for hit & run. Maybe then they will take a bit more caution, lol.
