    which pins/4 wire TPS

I have seached forums all night, looking to find some help on replacement of 4 wire TPS on my DOHC, I thought I could take mine off and put new one on, be down the road, but not so, ok, I have ohm/V meter, TPS four pins Vc-V1-idle-E , forums say set at 4.5v to 5v sounds easy but which pins do I use and any other help would be greatly apprecated,

Here's info on the pin swap for the 3-4 wire conversion

"All you really need to do is put the throttlebody on, cut the 3 wire plug off and connect color to color, run an extra wire to the ecu and connect it inline with pin 6 the wire is LG/R and move the LG/W wire from pin 19 to pin 7 on the ecu plug, pin 7 is between a red wire and LG/R wire."

Digging this up, as I cannot find my wiring diagram book ANYWHERE dammit, and need to get a 4 wire tps to talk to my Adaptronic ECU, which only needs 3. I wanna confirm that "E" is ground, V1 is signal out, and Vc is 5V in.
And I can't seem to find that info anywhere... anyone got a clue? Cuz me voltmeter reading ain't makin no sense to me a'tall.

Awright. I figured c was constant and 1 was out, but realllly didn't wanna screw that up and kill the magic box. So instead if the idle voltage being low and going high as you go to wot, like the ecu wants, this one goes backwards, but I spect I can tell the ecU to just deal with it. I supposed I could try to mount teh tps such that it starts off wound up and unwinds as it goes to wot but I kinda doubt it...I'll mess with it more tomorrow.

The fact that it's creeping is a little odd. Make sure all the sensor ground points are common ( same location)

I got it sorted. Gonna head out fer testdrive. The problem I've been chasing on this sillyass rallykar is, can't make more than 20 psi boost. Found a few leaks, nothing big enough to cause the problem, then noticed the restrictor had moved and cocked a bit sideways in the elbow it was installed at. I redid all that crap and mounted it right up in the coldside where it belongs. Better punch but still 20psi.. with the WG actuator blinded to the manifold. I pumped more air into the intake tract and noticed the throttlebody shaft was hissing really pretty well. So I will just swap throttlebodies off the poor dead crashed street car since it don't hardly need it anymore, right? But of course the interface tween the TB and the TPS isn't the same. Far enough apart that it's much easier to swap wiring over. but what really got my attention is although they are identical on the outside, the butterfly on the streetcar (gtr) is a full qtr inch bigger that the TB that's been on the rallycar since before I bought it. I already know the BPT and GTR TB's are the same. So wtf was on there? AN n/a meant for what, the 1.3 GLC? Whatever. It's outta there now. And the ECU guage window shows TPS at 0% when it sits there and 100% when it's floored so yah it's time to go for a drive. Without the restrictor. If if still doesn't make scary boost without the sodastraw, it's time to remove the turbo and take a much closer look at the wastegate itself.

probably a newb question but im in it for the long haul with the mazda game lol, what is the difference between 3 wire and 4 wire. I bought mine with a 4 wire tps and it recently went bad. Going to replace it but it brought up the subject.

3 wire tps is like an on/off switch... idle /wot
4 wire is variable and shows the % open

na ecu uses the 3 wire ( except auto trans cars ) and bp26 uses 4 wire

you'll need the full throttle body unless you already have a 4 wire tps throttle body, and just require a new sensor. The castings between the ATX and MTX are different.

                              BUMP! haha

I'm currently trying to do this 4 wire TPS swap but I fail to notice in the picture, pin 6 being in line with the the new 4th wire coming from TPS. Why does it look like the new blue wire is solely connected to pin 6 LG/R and not added in line?

Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks.
