    VAF/AFM codes

I would like a comprehensive thread about the "coded" letter VAFs that most of the community swap out.

    I've gathered that:

"S" code VAFs are from DX BG models
"U" code VAFs are from LX BG models
"B" code VAFs are from RX-7 base
"A" code VAFs are from RX-7 Turbo
"Y" code VAFs are from GTX BG
"R" code VAFs are from GTR BG

    Correct?

I would really like to start an organized thread on this instead of asking questions like an idiot.

Tanks brah. Yeah, one of the members is selling an "r" code from a GTR.

Another one of the guys on here has a silver top VAF, what kind of jap magic is that?

The silver top was a joke. I bought it off eBay and they had replaced the plastic cover with a coke can.

Ohhhhh, man I should read your build thread more thoroughly. Jeez.

I've also heard guys throw 80's and 90's Toyota VAFs on. Is this true?

              Remember the K-code hybrid?

Not "stock", which is what I think this thread is trying to accomplish, but might be something to add.

Never built or used one, but this thread made me think about it.

Blazin674 and I made one of those for the GTR wagon. the spring is too weak, so it idled awesome and was useless once the turbo spooled

Sooooooooooooooo, if I upgrade myself to a "B" code or "R" code with my stock system and not messing with adjusting TPS, refreshing injectors, or anything of the like, will my car just be an unhappy bi***?

B-code is fine on N/A if you adjust the gear or whatever inside, no idea about R though

Thats what I figured, so I wonder if the R code has adjustment?
