ok can some one find a car Rhd Protege (90-94) or a 323 HB GTX or GTR (90-94).
    Straight Chasis, I mean Chasis.
Car body with doors, dash, wiring harness,
    car does not need windows,carpet,suspension,engine.
Would like the awd tranny and rearend setup.
No Brakelines, No Fuel lines, no seats,

My dad started an awd tranny but it may not work considering finding parts, is kinda hard.

That happens to be a HUGE Federal felony in the US and probably Canada, nothing attracts the police like RHD on cars that shouldn't be.

Ehh I dunno about felony, I do know that you can have the car taken from you, crushed, and you get fined.

There are loopholes to get things registered. There's a Pulsar GTi-R that is legal, for sale here:

It's registered as a kit car - which would be pretty easy to do depending on the state laws.

Yeah no one here would swap a vin number on a car.
              certainly not me.

              also old thread is old.

anyone know what the actual repercussions of vin swapping would be?

my buddy 3SGTE swapped an old celica, then found out that he couldnt get a title for it... so he is putting the vins from ihs parts car on it. for some reason since i am good with cars he thinks i'd know the laws about swapping vins? i told him it was a bad idea, especially since the parts car has an out of state title so a vin inspection is part of the registration process.....

when i transferred my escort in pa to myself from my family the vin check process was a mechanic writing the vin on a piece of paper, he read it from the plate on the dash.

I'm coming over your way at the end of the year...maybe I can bring you a factory right-hook all the way from NZ...would be cheaper and less time consuming for you - now, just have to work out a way to trick the airline into accepting a car as "luggage"

                        RHD fail.
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

Now what if you did it the more fun way or converting a RHD into LHD to drive without anyone asking too many questions with that VIN swap you suggested...
I peered out from the castle window and looked over the splendor of ROTM county. Yes, twas' a much simpler time back then. Peasants would go about their postings, and I, the mod, would rule over them with an iron fist.

RHD car in the USA = Head-on collision resulting in death, since you can't see around the car in front of you to pass until it's too late...
