Someone with a true GTR head tell me the number that is on the exhaust valves please. I just noticed that my exhaust valves on my head have a C8T on them which just has me curious
Thanks
Jason
i havent opened my engine up but C8T is the correct marking for the GTR valves.

I've had this head for a while and its got a bp26-8 number on the head and the standard 05 on the intake valves with like I said the c8t on the exhaust valves. With the bp26 on the head I wouldn't have thought it to be a GTR head.
Anyway thanks for the reply
Jason
yeah all the turbo heads are BP26, and all the non-sodium filled valves will say 05

I've decided that my car is a girl, she's picky as hell, won't listen to me, always wants to fight me, and when i give her presents it's never good enough and she always wants more.
well the only difference between a GTR head and a GTX head are those valves. so whether you have a *real* GTR head or a GTX head with the sodium valves installed is kind of a moot point

Cool all thanks for the replies. I kinda knew that there really wasn't any differences between the GTR and GTX head other then the sodium exhaust valves, but it was just a suprise to see them in this head.
anyway thanks again
Jason
BP26-x-x head doesnt mean Jack! its the valve that count
It does mean jack, as GTR motors are series 2 BP's so they are always going to be BP26-8-2, The BP26-6-1 is a series one engine. And the last 3 you posted are non turbo twin cams.
If you havent got the head off, it means alot of jack
