otherwise you can boil them, causing the resins to rise to the surface & dry...making the pads completely useless.
That's what my Hawks said on the little paper that came in the box.

Ditto on my PBR ceramics. That is the correct way to bed the pads.

I believe it depends on the pads, if you're using cheapo-generic pads from AutoZone then you're going to glaze them doing a bunch of hard stops right off the bat. Performance pads may need a more agressive break-in... they're made out of different stuff... my $.02

I believe that PBR and Axxis are the same company.. My last Axxis Ultimates were picked up from the previous brake group buy. I recently picked up a new set of PBR's Ultimates and they are the same.

I wasn't as aggressive on the break in with my first set of pads. This time round, I shut her down hard 5 times and let it sit over night. Next day the pads had much more grip right from the start! I love my Axxis Ultimate/Brembo combination! Other than a bit of excess brake dust they are best all around pads I've used!

Break them in as per the instructions!

Yeah, that's what I've gathered as well. Know anywhere I can get my hands on some rear ceramics? I was told they were out of stock all across Canada.
