i'll grab a handful. it'll be a little while tho i have to assemble everything tomorrow & get a good measurement. its been ages since i knew exactly which one i bought. a good thing tho considering i never had to replace mine
Ryan, can you tell me the item # of the ones you got from Ace hardware when you find them? I was at ace the other day and they have a whole bunch of them.
Just wanted to say I did this modification today...and WOW! Should have done it sooner
I purchased some fairly long springs, the coiled section itself was 1.5" with 2 quick radius hooks off it. I drilled the mounting hole in the flex line tab a bit further back to compensate for that, but otherwise same setup! Once you look at the caliper you will see a nice flat spot and I drilled center of that like the picture shows, and it works great.
Make sure there's tension on the spring when you install it, otherwise it's useless and will fall off...I had to use needle nose pliers to hook mine up and it was a pain haha, but it's not going anywhere.
