    TIME 4 struts

skrate to the point. My struts are gone beyond comfort.

    I read the stickies....

Not looking for super performance..just some suitable replacements that can some "driving".

    How are the kybs?

Are they better then stock and can they be safely/properly used with lowered spring?

if this is a "dumb" quesiton... @ will.

I have the KYB with the MX-3 H&R sring and they are so so, but after a summer of autoxing they are goin out. If they have any performance over stock it's not much. If I were you i'd look in to the ZX-2 strut swap. Mazdaracer has everthing you'd need to know about the swap.

Don't make the same mistake I did.

Zx2's are teh win. I have them and love them.

Since your looking for a comfy ride, for springs, dont get the sprints or the MX-3 H&R's. The H&R's are the stiffest, and the sprints are a good 2in + drop. I would get the Eibachs or something like that... not as much of a drop or as stiff, but still a good quality ride.

There have been numerous threads about this, so just hunt around, you'll find them.
The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.

KYBs are OEM replacements so anything stronger than OEM springs will kill them. I was told this in an email from KYB. I went with the ZX2 struts MX3 springs fairly happy with it except that the Mazda doesn't use a rubber perch liner up front and the escorts do. So when you get the new struts they don't come with the rubber perch liner and now my car makes slight noises over bumps, nothing terrible and something I'll be fixing when I redo my brake system. So get out to a J/Y and find those pieces of rubber so you're ready when it's time to install them.

I wasn't the only person to do this
