JOhn beakley has the cheapest Eibach springs right now.

for a good suspension setup, you could look at the mazdaspeed set from corksport.

      Hey Alex,

      Welcome to Club Protege.

Just a suggestion for you, it would be easier to read your post if you kept the typing simple................no bold or colors. Thanks.

How low do you want to go?

For struts, I'd recommend the popular Tokico S/R struts from a '97+ Ford Escort ZX2. They are the best bang for the buck, and the ride is pretty decent. The rear struts are plug and play, and to use the front struts, you need '97+ Escort upper strut mount bearings, and upper spring perches, or you could modify your 323 upper spring perches to fit the Escort bearing.

      ZX2 struts, part # M18000Z2, $137.50:

ZX2 strut conversion kit (to make the struts plug and play):

Depending on how low you want to go, you can either use a coilover sleeve kit or springs.

My preference is coilovers. Ground Control coilovers are the way to go. You can find them on Corksport, as well as some springs that you could use:

I would also recommend poly urethane bushings. Ryan has made a nice list of bushings and part numbers for us:

Just make sure you get the eibachs when ordering from JBF and not K&W focus springs.

I went with KYB Gr2 struts, Progressive springs (fr 1.7 & rr 1.5 drop) , and added ST Sway-bar for reinforcement to reduce body roll.

The ride was good and a little stiff but handling was awsome.

KYB GR2 are OE replacement struts and are made for OE spring rates.

Well the website didn't say its specified for OE springs, anyway I don't do high performance driving or over-drive my tires traction capability. I like Koni struts, but there a little expensive. But hey, it beats Grabriel original equipment. But this combination turned out good, if you want a euro style handling and ride without breaking the bank. Even though european suspension is a little stiffer and can be sometimes uncomfortable.

But I got the KYB struts for $48-51 a strut, which is a good price last year. But when I checked the website that I ordered from the price went up.

I just wanted to throw that info out there. I actually emailed them a while back when looking at struts and that was their response. My question was what spring rate should be used with their GR2 struts.

More frustrating if I had tried to use them and something went wrong.
