Brake Pad, caliper and rotor question

this is a three part issue, so...

1: What kind of brake pads would be good for an occasional auto-x but mostly street driving, something mildly more aggresive bite without being a race pad, for my '91 Pro LX?

2: Will first gen miata rotors swap right on?

3: Will miata calipers swap on?

Any help will be greatly appriciated.

I have the KVR carbon fiber pads that Corksport sells. I'm pretty happy with them. http://corksport.com/store/category/...rt-brakes.html

Hawk HP+'s would be good too.

I have the HP+ pads and let me tell you they are kind of aggressive for a street/track pad. I personally don't mind because i like being able to stop in a hurry with all these morons driving around but i do recall reading once that a WRX owner went through his rotors within 20k of having these pads so i dunno. I've only had mine for about 2k if that.

yea, there is a certain miata generation that'll allow you to swap the rotors over, they're actually 11" in the front too. dont know if it'll help at all. also there's no modification needed, the caliper will slide right down. I think it's the generation JUST before the newest one, sooo up to 2004?

theres no way you could use a larger diameter rotor.... the caliper wouldnt fit.

you CAN use front rotors from a 3rd gen pro lx, they are the same diameter but thicker, with a better cooling fin design.
