Yep... I did ... gutter guard from home depot is a good substitute for mesh.. a lot of the peoples on here did it... here are some pics... (from this forum)

I have the same grill as you seeing as the 94 was made to look like the 323's... but yes I will post on that thread...


I had a question on istalling this thing... minor

I can just remove the bolts fromt the upper part of the strut (accesible from the engine bay), insert the bar, and then tighten the bolts over the bar right? Also...

Another thing... I didnt analyze it too much, but there is like a small pipe that runs along the right side of the engine bay... it runs alont the main relay box, around the inside of the top strut bolts then along the back of the engine bay... ITS IN THE WAY... I dont know if its the Diagnostic Connector or what? I wanted to know if anyone else came up with this problem.. I'll investigate more tomorrow...

EDIT: wow... Ameeeeeeen ... IDGET.... I was told by Boosted that its the AC line... he said I can bend it a bit to get around it... any other suggestions?

Are you talking about the A/C line? Is it covered with kinda black foam? Just move it out of the way (it should only be in the way a bit).

Strut Bar On...

Stupid Freekin' cold made this install horrible... I'm an idiot so I left the bar outside... so it was a little constricted... It had to bent a little bit to get it to fit snuggly... and when I mean snug, I mean we used 3 people for this one man job... that thing is tight in there... we were gonna jack it up, but felt it not to be neccesary...

Regardless... 10 minutes later... Bla-Dow... Presto

Even though its a cheapy ebay 3-piece bar... Brock was right... You can feel the difference instantly... Steering is more responsive now, not as much frame travel I guess... Anyway... here are the pics... if you need better pics (refering to my cheap people who want to do this) just email me or PM me... AIM is the same as my User...
