    need a heavy duty suspension

I posted about loading 2 kayaks on a 323 and all my camping gear and some wood in the car

between the added weight and the down force created by the kayaks on the roof the car bottoms out alot.. i dont know if its a rear shock is blown or a spring broke quite yet..

but im interested to know if there is a alternative to our stock shocks..
maybe something cheep but still safe..
we contemplated mx3 suspension but there would be minimal gains if any, i dont mind if the car gets raised up a little bit to compensate for the more rugged setup eather

    any ideas???

Want to try a set of coilovers? Raise them up all the way when you've got all your gear in the car?

      you're trolling right?

Just replace all the old struts/springs with autozone special ****, or a Morton full strut if they make an application for the bg.

i'm still betting on your rear springs being broken if you've never messed with them.

my 95 was 99% rust free when i bought it (at 102k miles), that 1% being one rusted and broken rear spring... lol

Pretty sure I know where they are, I'll make some room in the trunk of the Miata and I can bring them to work or something.

I have never been in a car that drove nice with extra weight in the back, even 1 person... realistically even cars with back seats are built knowing that it will be more regularly driven NOT full of people so they gear the suspension for that. then throw 200 extra lbs in the back and it throws off the suspension. my 99 volvo doesnt like people in the back seat.
