    Brake Caliper Piston is Stuck

    Hello,

I am changing my front rotors and pads on my 93 Mazda Protege DX. I am having trouble pushing the caliper piston back into the bore. I have tried everything including a C-clamp but it wont budge. Do I need to bleed something?? Thanks so much

open up the bleeder screw and then use the C clamp. there is probably too much pressure to keep it from going back in.

      Is your reservoir cap off?

Make sure the flex line isnt kinked or it will stop the flow of fluid and prevent you from pushing the piston back in.

I will be rebuilding my calipers next week because one side is more worn out then the other side. I believe that they are sticking.

Does any one know if I should use anti seize compound on the bolts that holds the brake caliper in place or they might unscrew easier if I use it?

i use anti seize, just make sure to TQ them to spec.

only places i don't use anti seize is the wheel studs

Which pads are better Duralast from Auto Zone or Wearever from Advanced. They both come with a life time warranty, but I hear Auto Zone also covers wear.
