Problem with leaky remanufactured rear calipers

Well I have found out that I have a leak somewhere in the rear drivers side caliper .... and with closer inspection I have concluded that the leak is coming out of the area where the e-brake mechanical shaft goes into the caliper body.

Has anyone else ever experienced this with remanufactured calipers . I replaced both sides when I did a complete front and rear brake change from my Protege GT to the 323.

I thought it was just the drivers side leaking, but tonight when I went to replace the drivers side , I removed the passengers side wheel to find the back side of the wheel wet with brake fluid to !!!!! Its leaking out of the same blood area. Not as bad as the drivers side but same situation.

I mean what are the odds that both remanufactured calipers are faulty ??

I have maybe 4000-5000 Km on the brake job... and just street stop and go stopping .. no heavy or racing braking .

I am asking myself if there is something else going on which is causing the leak in those areas...

I am putting on NEW calipers , but have unanswered questions why they have leaked in the first place ...

    I need everyones input..... Thanks

where did you get them from? online? i'd contact the manufacturer and advise them of the situation, i've only ever had 1 caliper leak on me due to a faulty memory seal.

the spot you're describing, i've never had happen personally, but a leaky caliper in any sense sucks the big one!

maybe you should do the miata upgrade now?
