Escort GT front suspension overhaul

I picked up a black 94 Escort GT a month or two ago... it needs freshened up, if anyone has any recommendations as to upgrades, or while ive got it apart type maintenance, feel free to let me know



my plan is to replace/upgrade

clean any rust/repaint as needed
ZX2 front swaybar/bushings/endlinks
upgraded control arm bushings
lower ball joints
tie rods
steering rack bushings
lower trans bushings- Aftermarket
upper engine mount
upper trans mount was just replaced
clutch master cylinder, line, hose, and slave cylinder
probe 2.5 clutch/ Resurface flywheel.
CV axles
axle seals at trans
new flex pipe/ exhaust.




things im thinking about buying
strut tower brace
shifter bushings
mx3 rear tie bar

Just grab a complete +97 Escort front subframe, it'll have the 25mm sway bar, revised control arms, and larger shanked balljoints. Then you'll know the ES bushings will fit the rear lca bushings as Mazda/Ford had two different sizes.

AWR makes engine mounts

Moog makes great replacement steering/suspension components.

Corksport has a SS braided clutch line

South Bend makes great KL clutches for cheap. Just make sure you have the raised taps that the Pressure plate bolts to machined the same amount as the friction surface on the flywheel, or go reman'd.
