i wouldnt have tape on the inside. way to risky of it coming lose, and getting sucked into the motor. use some duct tape, and wrap it around the outside to get you by. that way there is no risk of tape getting sucked into your motor.

I'm not too worried about it right now. The tube is right against the MAF, there's no gap between them big enough for tape to squeeze through. It is a temporary fix, however. As soon as I get a chance to get Autozone I'll get a new one.

          That it does, my friend.

Also, my dad returned the quarter panel because it was cut in the wrong spot and didn't go low enough towards the rocker panel. Hopefully the next one is right.

              Thanks.

Replaced the cut coupler connecting the intake to the MAF. Brand new one in its place. Also, when accelerating, the car would pull normally, lag a bit, pull, lag, etc. Found out the coupler on the throttle body was pinched weird and letting air in. Took that off and fixed it. Accelerates fine now. Now to track down yet another exhaust leak, sigh.

Got two exhaust leaks taped up. One from where the replacement pipe was clamped on and the other I tore off a patch clamp and taped it up instead. The clamp was rusted through, tape doesn't rust, haha. I used Permatex muffler tape for both. I also clamped on a universal exhaust hanger since two of the originals broke off. Now the only sound is from the intake

Well its about time, haha. My dad wants to wait until the correct quarter panel comes in before starting anything. He doesn't feel like building one out of sheet metal. But we will need to build the lower section on the driver side in front of the rear wheel and the passenger side rocker panel. I accidentally poked my fingers right through it just tapping to see how strong it was. Obviously it's not, it just crumbled into rust chips, hahaha. The doors will also need attention on the bottom edge, or maybe just get new doors if I can find them. Clear coat on the trunk is flaking off and some rust spots on the hood and surface rust under the car. Not sure what the floor looks like under the carpet, but probably no rust, if any. The car doesn't leak inside. Speaking of leaks, the jack area in the trunk is all rusted out due to a leak and will have to be addressed as well.

*sigh* Where will I get the money for all this? Anyone want to help me rob a bank? Hahaha.

Speaking of money, I need to save up for the engine work. Not completely sure what I want to do yet, but I may have a plan if I can get the right parts. Also, Ryan, I bet the answer is "no" but I'll ask anyway, would any of those spherical bushings, traction bars, or any other handling improvements work on the BH? I know there's tubular LCA's as well from someone else.

Someone broke my driver's side view mirror and either stole the glass or cleaned up broken pieces. It was sent back on its mount, but would fall and hang by its wire with the slightest nudge. No other damage to the car except black marks on the door where the mirror must have made contact. This seems like it was done intentionally and it pisses me off beyond belief.$@&@*!&!%!%@$?#/@&"%"*@?@?'&'&#&(+);?!@{^£[{}]¡€£¥

Well, thinking about going with a KLDE swap from a 2002 Millenia. Just need to find one, and figure out all the parts I'll need. So far I can think of:
                            -Engine
                            -ECU
                            -Harness
                            -Mounts
                            -Axles*
                            -Sensors**

*I have axles that will work with the Z5+G-series combination. But will the lengths be a problem? The driver's side is ~24" long and the passenger's side axle is ~23" or ~24" (I'll have to look up the info again). What are the lengths of the MX-3 axles that everyone uses for the KL swap?

**Will I be able to reuse my MAF/IAT sensors? Or will I need to get KLDE specific sensors?

More questions will be posted as I think of them.

I have a kl ecu out of a mx-6 manual. $30 shipped and it's yours. Should be an awesome swap

I might just take you up on that, I can you the money on monday. Do you have anything else you're willing to sell for this swap or no?
