I hope you can get it. It would be a shame if it didn't sell to a Clubprotege member. If you get his car, what do plan on doing with the headlights?

The headlights on my car I'll take off and keep and replace them with stock units if I can find some in a junkyard. The lights on the potential new car I'll probably keep on for a while until I perfect my projector setup.

And I'm glad I'm first in line for this as well. He said someone else was looking at it whose interested in rare imports, but I think someone who is actually interested in Mazda specifically deserves this car.

Just got word back from txmzdspd2gen, the car is mine for the taking. Just need to get the shipping details worked out then talk to the bank about a small loan. Hopefully I'll be able to drive it by summertime. I'm excited.

As for my car, the new ball joint was clunking. Found one of the nuts had loosened itself up a bit. Tightened it down good and found a new exhaust leak (a never ending story). So I'll patch that up sometime this week.

I ALWAYS use loctite blue on balljoint mounting bolts along the LCA lol, I've had that happen a few times even after torquing them to spec...hell my car gets blue on almost every bolt other than the obvious ones lol.

Hmm, forgot all about Loctite. If it comes loose again I'll definitely use some.

Clunking is gone for now. We'll see how long it lasts. Also replaced my windshield wipers and hopefully remedied my skipping tweeter problem.

Still waiting for '2gen's reply so I can get the ball rolling on getting that car up here. *sigh*

Just got a reply from 2gen. Got the info I need and now I need to call Stateway, get a full price, go to the bank, blah blah blah.

That's exciting. I was just thinking the other day about how his is probably one of the last clean BHs in North America. I wonder what happened to Martin's (Intruder) 1.8 swapped BH. I'd sell the Lexus and buy that in a hearbeat.

Hmm, I don't know if I've ever seen his, I'll have to look it up.

And I feel kind of bad for bringing it up north because it so clean, haha. But I'll probably keep my current car as a winter beater so keep the JDM tyte Protege off the road.

At the bank now with all my information for a loan. Got some other stuff to do after this so I hope the lady before me is almost done, haha.

Haha, no way. I thought about selling it to recoup the cost of shipping, but then I'd have to buy another car for winter anyway and it would probably be a bigger piece than crap than mine.

Plus, with a second car, I can get the quarter and rocker panels replaced as well as some other stuff that I couldn't do with it being my only car.

Just got my replacement strut for the right-rear. It's and Excel-G so it's black, but according to KYB they're the exact same thing. I'd rather they had sent me a GR-2 so they all match, but oh well. Tomorrow it goes on the car.

Yeah they just changed the name and colour, but they're the same strut.

Yeah, I checked a KYB video when I opened it and they said they're the same. Anyway, it's on the car now and I need to take it for a test drive soon to see how it feels. I also need to get my new AC compressor installed and relocate a ground for my passenger side headlight. If that corner of the car goes through a big puddle, water splashes up and causes the light to go out for a few seconds and the belts to squeal.
