I think I'm going to eventually. When I have enough time, money and a beater since the Pro will be out of action for a bit. Has anyone done anything like this before?

The only problem with that in NY is making sure that you do it in a way that no one can tell it is a swap. NY says no engine can be swapped unless it is the same year modle or newer and is limited to engines that were installed at the manufacturer in that model. If you swap the full obd2 setup with the engine i think an inspector can pass it as long as no codes come up after install but that should not be hard. Just will need to make sure all evap is hooked up as well as CAT and o2.

Damn New York and its laws, hahaha. I would deffinitely make sure emissions and everything is hooked up and working correctly. I don't plan on doing anything halfassed.

Just ordered my projector kit from TRS (TheRetrofitSource) for $320 with free shipping.



The kit includes:
2x: FX-R projectors
2x: Morimoto 50W ballasts
2x: Morimoto D2S bulbs (5000K)
2x: Shrouds (Gatling Gun)
2x: Metallic "BIXENON" bezel/shroud emblems
2x: Alcohol prep pads
1x: Plug and Play wiring harness (H4)
1x: TRS decal

Not sure if I'll use the "BIXENON" emblems or the TRS decal, but we'll see.

Side note: I also ordered an Ibanez AES20EBK electric/acoutsic guitar.

Glad to hear you're getting everything sorted out. You got any plans for the near future?

Need to do my control arm bushings as soon as summit racing ships them, also planning on pulling the intake mani and doing a complete clean, if i can come up with a air compressor again might even do a port match while it is off.

I father in-law's durango is having some transmission issues so will be looking at that soon. He has never had it serviced and is over 103k miles. I need to check the Tv cable, gov pressure solenoid, change filter, gasket, fluid, and try to adjust the bands. Never did a band or Tv adjustment so it might be fun

Haha, good luck with that. Sounds like you've got some work ahead of you. I've been thinking about cleaning up some engine stuff, maybe it would fix my idle? But it's not that bad right now so I'll probably leave it til next year when it's warmer.

Hopefully if i can clear some of my slate off and get some funds saved up i want to find a heater to use in my garage. I don't plan on going all winter without taking advantage of the space now that i have it.

Projectors

My projector kit was delivered today. They're bigger than I expected. Some small scrapes and scratches on the shrouds, but I should be able to use some silver paint and a small brush to tough them up. Might not come out perfect, but good enough that you won't be able to tell. Enough talk though, everyone loves pics.

Haha, it will begin within the next few weeks. I just checked with TRS to make sure the projectors aren't side specific.... and they're not, haha. Makes it much simpler. I just hope the shrouds fit inside the headlight with minimal trimming, because according to Billy Fucillo, "They're hhuuuuuuuuuuuuuggee!"

Still need ideas for replacing the city lights/making DRLs. Toss some up and maybe I'll use one.
