How do I replace the MIL in a '98 Protege LX?

Hello all,

My '98 Protege LX 1.5L failed the emissions test just because the MIL is burned out!

How can I replace it? Does it involve getting a whole new dashboard assembly, just removing the dashboard or something altogether simpler?

It's altogether silly how the law works - my OBDII check out 100% fine!

Any help would be appreciated.

You just have to replace the bulb in the instrument cluster.

Yeah his car is a 2nd gen but it has an instrument cluster like the 3rd gen. He has the same year car as me. You should be able to get replacement bulbs from a local auto store (Autozone, advance auto parts, straus ...)
