Cam shaft upgrade

If u were to change only one camshaft to a performance shaft...which side would u suggest to change
intake cam or exhaust cam??
reason for only changin one at a time is due to low budget

what gives the intake advantage over the exhaust?

In a nutshell, the intake cam will get more air into the engine. There would be no point in just doing the exhaust cam, since you would still be getting the same amount out as before.
