new trany will not shift into 5th gear
Hey all. I just put a trany out of a 98 into my 95 (1.5) It shifts great but it makes that "grind" noise when I try to shift into 5th. I was told that the tranys would match up no prob. Any advice?

bad synchros?
you need to get it rebuilt or just get another.
or it could be fluid. have you tried royal purple or any high performance synthetics? sometimes that'll cure the problem.Almost there
