    Problems.

    BAH. Got problems. The car started to bog on me today while driving around and threw a cel. NO read on it yet, will do tomorrow morning. Feels like the transmission, hope it isn't, hope it is. There is a junkyard right around the corner from me with one for $200, its a MT and I could problaly talk the guy into giving me all the stuff to swap it with. Let you guys know someething tomorrow.

      that is why i asked you if there were any cel when you installed the cai.

      i remember reading sometime ago that the distance of the maf to the intake manifold could throw a cel light.

          Reset the ecu a little bit ago and ran it for a few minutes and the suttering went away. I think i was sucking a little water last night. I have the filter off in the sink right now soaking in cleaner and I am going to OIL it really well and put it back on and it should start up and drive fine. The last time I felt something like that I had a Torque Converter go out on my 93 Escort. x.x Kinnda skured me.

            Why in the world did you clear the code before reading it? Even if the problem doesn't come back, you would know what to check and either clean up or replace or give maintenance to. Well, let's hope you have no more problems.

              I don't know, not thinking at the time. Got it all cleared up. Took off the filter washed a little dirt and grime out of it and lubed it up with some more filter oil. NO more CEL, no more problem. Also the car has been nitorious for throwing a " Lean- Bank 1 Sensor 1" For no damn reason. It will come and go.

                  i believe after resetting the ecu it takes about a week before you can safely say that there is no cel anymore.

                    Yeah, I am going to do a reset tomorrow, and NO I don't have any CEL lights right now. But it has s funny idle and it didn't before, I will let you know in this post a week from tomorrow if i have anymore problems.

                      Now you're going to make that mistake too? That would start the whole waiting period again. Drive the car for a week at all different speeds & conditions to see if the light comes back on. What's the use of doing another reset?

                        I am going to start the timeline when I get the idle problem fixed.
