Hello all,
Out of nowhere a bad misfire began on cylinder 2 (while looking at engine with hood open standing in front of car).
I changed the plugs to NGK G-Power, no difference.
I changed the cap and rotor, no change.
I put in high octane fuel, no change.
I put in new NGK wires, no change.
I did a compression test, with throttle wide open.
180 psi on all 4 cylinders.
I checked injectors and unplugged all in sequence.
When I unplug injector #2 there is no difference in misfire.
When I unplug injectors #1, #3 and #4, the car almost stalls.
I swapped injectors between #1 and #2 cylinder, still the same problem
with #2 when I unplug the injector so it is not the injector itself and must
be the plug.
I tested the plug lead with a multi-meter and it reads a steady 10.6 volts.
Do I need to replace the plug and if so, where does it lead?
I have seen the plugs advertised on the net but it does not show how to install them.
thanks in advance,
baz
