Hey fellas, new to the board. Have a 98 Protege DX 1.5L auto and the overdrive light is flashing, cel is on, getting a dtc 0760 and only 1st and 2nd gears. 0760 shows to be shift solenoid c. Ive changed the fluid, filter and both solenoids I can see and still does it. Ive searched but cant seem to find my specific problem. Any ideas.

Have you taken the control valve body off and checked to make sure the springs and everything is working properly? Have you checked the line pressure? All electrical connections are good?
(I'm basing this off a 1999-2003 shop manual) -
I don't really want to tear into the tranny if I don't have to...it's my daily driver. The odd time, if the vehicle is warm, when I start it up it will work fine. How do you check the line pressure ?Comment
