Removing gov lock or adding performance chip

Has anyone ever tuned their z5's ecu for performance (aka performance chip) or removed the government lock? if so...how much power do these mods add? Also what is the price range for these projects?

Is say its not worth it even if you could do it. Most chips claim "10-20 MORE HP" but with a motor as small as yours, I'd say 2 extra HP is all you'll get. Not worth the 100+ you'd spend.

IMHO, the Z5 is an awesome little economy engine. It's built for fuel mileage, not horsepower. I'm squeezing 31 mpg plus out of mine with all city driving! If you want more power, you need to swap in a different engine.
