    Engine/Motor & Transmission Mount Discussion

My BHA Protege is ready for new mounts. The car is at 200k+ miles, and I don't think the mounts have ever been replaced. The Transmission mount is completely done for, which is most evident when doing city driving with shifts ~2700 RPM. There is an audible clunk as the transmission lashes back and forth between gears.
I'd love to get some stronger mounts with polyurethane bushings or inserts, but there any available specifically for my application.
Anthony Woodford has a beautiful transmission mount posted in their store, but it is not actually available for purchase yet:

What is everyone else using for performance replacement mounts? Has anyone had luck modifying and using mounts from later or earlier generations? I'd prefer not to use a flimsy OE replacement mount.

You could always get OEM mounts and fill them to make them a bit more solid. I haven't really looked in to aftermarket mounts much.

Yeah, but they're sooo flimsy and weak. I'm not just talking about the rubber insert either. I thought about buying the beefiest looking mounts I could find and filling them with liquid nail. That may be what I end up doing.

Liquid nail is not good for filling mounts.

You can buy actual poly in tubes meant for this application from Eastwood. Works best with new mounts.

So you think the DIY poly fill is my best option then? The metal frame for the mounts doesn't really look like it could stand up to much abuse, but then again, it is just for a Z5.

I run DIY poly filled mounts on the MX6... i'm pretty sure they'll be just fine on a Z5.

I don't think this MX6 actually even exists...

So I'll order some sh*tty mounts, and you fill them with poly for free. Deal.
