97-98 front end conversion

I put a 97 bumber on my 96.
It required quite a bit of modding.

y wudn't the corners fit.. if i'm using the same headlight..
just mounting the bumper underneath.

I don't know if you noticed in my signature(below every post a person makes). My car looks nice except for a damaged fender. I want to find a 97/98 one already in black so I don't have to spend money painting one. I go to the junkyards and have seen the 95/96 in black but can't use them. All you have to do is look at them both. The fender has the corner light cut made for each different corner light. One is square-like and the other is kind of egg-shaped where it meets the fender. They don't fit. Now we're reading here that some guys have a hard time making it fit, period. I don't know if they're talking about just the corner light or the fender. I just GUARANTEE the corner light of a 95/96 does not fit on a 97/98 and vice-versa.

yeah that's quite obvious the corner light won't fit;
i hat the 95/96 corner light compared to the 97/98 ..

i just thought the bumper wud be the same;

the 95/96 headlights and corners are smaller; so they have that filler..
and it'll be good (Y)

Just keep the look oem and if you want to enter HIN. Not all cars there has to have a frankenstein look to be nice. I entered mine with stock looks except from the MS parts I have and i got more compliments than the conversion tiburon parked close to my car. Yeah sure it will look different but having a nice flowing car and clean at that is enought for my car to get attention.

just not the dinky looking corner lights.

Oh yeah, you have the same one as mine.....if you really want to get one then JHOT is about 100 cheaper than corksport. At least from the last transaction i had with them. Or maybe wait a bit when i start to sell my parts..lol
