I was told by a friend today that if i scrubbed toothpaste on my headlight it would clean it up Is this true, or will it just mess up my vision with its minty freshness...

Just wetsand with 1500...then after that wetsand with 2000 then buff out with 3M compound.

no!! the anti/washer concoction is for your windshield washer fluid, not your head lights.

ghettoooness, i agree with spenone, just use like 1000 grit sandpaper and sand it vertically, then use 1500 grit and sand it horizonatlly, then use 2000 grit and sand vertically, in whichever alternating over, doenst matter how you start..and just polish it out with plastix, and your good as new...

and btw if that toothpaste falls into creases and gets hard, it`s gonna be a pain to get it off

yes this works real well. my buddy and me do it all the time. another good trick
is to mix windshield washer fluid with a 50/50 mix of antifreeze. it works good for the winter and is better than that rainex crap!!!!! give it a try and let me know how it go's.

How you think spraying antifreeze on your window is a good idea is just sad.

The fact that you think it will work better than DE-ICER, a product designed by people that graduated from institutions where they teach you about puncuation and simple sentence structure along with other things.

That spraying a toxic chemical needlessly into the environment is acceptable. Do you hate animals? Drinking water? because your antifreeze is going into the storm drains and probbaly into your drinking water. Which would explain alot honestly.


But no I'm sure you know alot more than the people at rain-x.
In fact I'm sure car soap is a scam too. Might as well wash the car in antifreeze. I'm sure it will shine like a diamond.

um..... i use baking powder & baking soda mix with a little water & some soft scrub on my headlights. its quite fine & works about the same as wet sanding.
