Well I took it to the shop earlier and the guy said he'll take care of it for me tomorrow morning. Said something but once again these mechanics talk so fast that I forgot what he said. I even asked him to just take it off. He will also be installing my HKS muffler. oooo can't wait!

For those of you curious about the heat shield, its a very easy removal if you have a lift or can go under your car. I took it to a shop out here and the guy was like you should take it off and i did. Took him like a minute and he did it for free. Then I got my HKS muffler installed. I wasn't aware that there was a middle muffler also, but I got that removed and put a straight pipe. Sounds awesome! And the tin can noise is gone! woohoooo! I'm slowly making this car to become what I want it to be.

isnt that middle muffler the resonator? what would be the sideeffects of putting a straight pipe in place of the resonator?

I wasn't told of any side effects. He told me that if i want my car to sound loud, i should take it off and just put a straight pipe.

I'd also like to know about any side effects that may occur.

actually. putting it in neutral when you are stopped will help ur tranny it allows it a lil time to cool off which will give it a longer life #1problem for a auto tranny is heat
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

Thanks a lot. That's good to know. I like putting it in neutral now and then. Mostly because I drive a lot and my foot gets tired of pressing down on the brake. Good to know that it isn't harming my car. But at least the heat shield is gone and that annoying tin can noise went with it.
