Where to get parts

I am just wondering where is the best place to get parts for my protege. Is it okay to buy air filter & other stuff from pepboys?

Pepboys is fine for air filters. Don't buy FRAM oil filters.

Yes if you use FRAM your engine will explode.

At least pay a few bucks extra and get STP, I'm going with K&N though.

I have a K&N air filter, and an original Mazda oil filter.

Many have argued that the FRAM filters suck. Many others continue to use them and their cars are still running just fine. If I were you I'd just spend $2 more and get a different filter.

There's data showing they don't filter enough particles or something to that effect.

It's pretty much a rumor, although i'm sure some people have had bad experiences. hold on, let me dig up a thread..
