    battery light

I was driving Memorial day and since it was over 90 degrees I turned on my A/C. I decided to turn it off and a few minutes later the battery light came on. I drove home and shut it off and restarted it a few times. I let the car sit 2 days because I didn't have time to mess with it. I started and shut it off about 10 times, checked the voltage at the battery with it running (13.7 volts) and had the charging system tested on the car twice. I also had the alternator tested off the car and everything is working properly. I have been driving the car since then without a problem. the thing is, the light is still on. I'm wondering if this could be related in any way to my check engine light that has been on since I bought the car. (gone off once or twice for a day or so) when I try to read the codes the scanner (I've used 5 different ones) says "Link Error" I've checked the diagnostic port, and it has grounds at the proper pins and power at the proper pins. (I can't remember the numbers at the moment) Is there anything in the ECM that would make the battery light come on? if so, I guess that's one more thing telling me to change the ECM...
