    hood scoop question

I have an air intake in the hood... ok... but I can open the hood without causes problems?

the water can damage the engine?
    the ignition undergoes danger?
what I can use to avoid the water but not the air?

You can open the hood when it's raining, of course. Or does a bunch of water fall out of your scoop onto your ignition?

hmm.. lets say i put a aftermarket hood scoop on the hood.. just a dermel to cut out the area under the scoop to make it a fully funtional scoop.. would this increase the affects of an after market intake?

          No, not really.

But of course if you put any kind of stick-on scoop on your car, it will get laughed at.
