So my shift lever is extremely sloppy even when in gear. The vertical bolt in the universal-type joint at the end of the shift bar just before going into the transmission appears to be very worn and/or is missing a bushing. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any easy homemade fix? Do I need to go buy this part somewhere? And if so where? Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

very common issue ... search shifter bushing .... you will find many solutions

i can make ya a set of bronzoil bushings to fix that.... and alot cheaper then anywhere i seen...92 protege lx-
