I'd love to get keyless entry for my car. There's a '95/'96 LX in a yard near me with the control module. Hopefully I can learn from you on how to retrofit this into the car.

Side question; do you need the matching remote or can an aftermarket remote be programmed to work with it?

If you have power door locks, when you unlock the driver's door the rest of them unlock...so you need is an actuator to actuate the driver's side door, the remote and the module...I could get one at Princess auto here in Ottawa for 60 bucks, but it comes with 4 actuators! I don't need 4...Other than that it's pretty easy: remote signal through the module to supply juice to trip the one actuator and voila!
Come to think of it, where are the keys at a scrapyard? they're not in the ignition...it would be too much a pain in the ass to reprogram. An ebay one with just one actuator must be pretty cheap...
I'm actually more interested in finding out why my rear door locks seem gummed up... they have a bitch of a time coming up...

I love being able to unlock all my doors by holding the key in the lock for a second or simply unlocking the passenger door which unlock all four without that one second pause. I just wish I could do it from inside or a couple feet away on freezing cold days in the middle of winter, brrr.

That would be cool, but the trunk is opened mechanically by a cable, not electronically. You'd have to rig up some type of motor or solenoid or something first. Then have it activate by one of the controls on the fob. I've played with this idea also, but I'm not very good with wiring at whatnot so I've just been toying with ideas instead of implementing them.

I'm very curious as to what that blue line for the trunk is for.

having the actuator opposed to the pull handle.
would be the same as installing power locks in a car that was manual.
the concept is really simple and it isn't hard to get a power trunk.
