        yes.
        yes.
the rears are somewhat hard/annoying, you have to lie on the ground and reach around the tires though.

did they require any modification at all to install?

or was it a straight swap with the oem ones (fitment wise)?

I got my GR-2's for ~$48 ea. @ tire rack. If you don't want to go the eBay route, check tire rack and horsepowerfreaks.com. When I did my suspension the endlinks were shot, too. Those got replaced w/ new OEM parts, which in hindsight I would've rather upgraded because the cost difference would've been negligible. How much are you looking to lower? Even with the GR-2's if you go more than 1.5 or 2 inches they aren't going to last as long. A bigger drop than that really needs struts that were designed to be used in a lowered application.

if you lower our cars lower than 2 inchs with the mazdaspeeds, they wouldnt last long either.

really, theres no reason to lower our cars that low anyways
there would be like, no travel left

touche, the MS struts are going to be the best, but they're so damn expensive that it's completely insane, one of those struts costs as much as a spring kit.

yeah i've been using my mazdaspeeds w/ stock springs.

we could use the koni inserts and shortend the struts, anyone want to try? then loweing would be no problem depending on how much they're shortened.

oh, and how do you like the mzdaspds with stock springs?

with mazdaspeed's, stock spring, i have them on the lowest setting. the car is used mostly for daily driving.

about shortened struts, believe you have cut the top off to actually shorten the strut body.

cut the top off of the rod, and then just re thread the end?

at $184 a pop, it is a definite alternative to mazdaspeeds. they're cheaper, and also could possibly be shortened.
if you guys wants to pitch in, i'll do it.lol

oh yeah, you can rebuild them once they blow.
