yes i have abs. so what will the computer do really

do u have a manual which shows the fuse panels which are in the engine bay and inside the protege

if i go to the mazda dealers here i know there going to charge me a arm and a leg to do that so i think i'll try the ghetto way first. is the cylinder that hard to replace tho?

physically replacing the master cylinder is not hard
as edwin said, you must take care while bleeding it

with a new master cylinder you're starting from scratch so the entire system needs to be bled properly
start from the furthest wheel from the master cylinder and work your way towards it

also, when you try to activate the ABS pump look for a gravel road... what you want is to lock up the wheels to get the pump to work, to move the fluid/air and pull in fresh one

you might have to do it 2-3 times tho... its a huge pain in the ass

grab a haynes manual from the local parts store, they're not the BEST thing in the world
but for $20 bucks they definitely are worth it if you dont have anything

it'll have the fuse panel and step by step order on how to do jobs like the MC or other brake stuff
