technically speaking an older car with new suspension & brakes & even poly bushings, if you want to go far, rebuild the engine & tranny & your still far cheaper then buying a new "reliable" car.

Ok , so today i was backing up into a friends driveway and he has a sewer drain right next to his driveway and my passenger rear tire got stuck in it as i was backing up and blew my tire out, so i put on the spare and saw that it was all sideways, i tried 2 drive it and the car wouldnt stay straight.. so i call a shop and get it towed.... they call back sayin i bent two of the lower control arms and its gonna cost like $650 to fix so i call my mom and tell her and she said not to put anymore aftermarket **** on it and that this spring or summer she would give me 4k-5k for a newer car, (g-ma is selling her house and dividing money) so imma try and get a 00ish 3rd gen 5spd... sad day

Listen to the guys, this club is the real **** dude. I have a guy here claims he is a season mechanic and he says my Bp engine is a Miata engine, yeah, but as I under stand, Protege' had it first, and this onionhead doesn't like Ford, and he thinks that Auto light is the original plug for the Ford anything. I then told the monkey brain, lookie at the stickers and the Ford stamp on the valve cover, the same valve cover as the Mazda Pro. BG and BGT, different Stamp. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong here I've been reading a while and I think I have some **** straight, Kozzman555, I think he's a rockerhead. This general Maintenance guy says yeah, that's a Miata engine, Mazda liked it so well they decided to put it in the Protege' LX and Ford Escort LX.
Most of the time I don't want to dispute someones word, however I have never read anything like that on this site. All I could say was wow dood I did'nt know that that's ****in amazing! Yet he insisted to me that the Ford Autoite plugs work on the Ford EGT BG engine. Is this guy a blow fish or am I just wantin to bust somebodies balls? I learned last week, Mazda engines don't like any plugs but NGK, and orignial wires, there is brand that Ryan spoke of, Taylor Spiral wires cost of $25-$30 dollars. That's better than $130. at Ford/Mazda.
These damned care are apparently one of Americas best kept secrets.
Euros, wish thay were a Mazda.

taylor spiral pro wires. under $60 shipped. much better then OEM junk.
NGK plugs work great for any BP engine.... ford used the mazda design & removed the MBSP to lower costs. no other changes were made besides teh thermstat temp sender
the BP came first in the protege. & was then adopted into the miata.

I have a few parts not many as I no longer have a parts car.
This is my first post other than PMs this week. My Pc is up again and 100%, I went out to dheck on my Pro LX in the Paint shop and made a panic stop on the freeway, and caused me more injury to a day old surgery, a seatbelt bruise.
Ouwww! But I'm back again and don't want any more Dr. appointments ect.
I want live like Tim McGraw, and not the die part.
