you got coiloverz too rightt?
lowering too much decreases the suspension travel.
i.e. the piston is already compressed when a car is lowered.
it'll cause the piston to bottom out due to limited travel. therfor overworking/killing any oem/stock-replacement strut.
the only way to combat that is to:
1) get a shorter strut - custom or possibly koni-inserts
2) get an adjustable strut(mazdaspeed struts) - will control the "rice bounce" and offers improve rebound and/or compression
3) get the ksports (a full coilver system, GC's are not a full coilover system)

if you're going to spend money like ksports, get the koni's, get a good coilover, fab it up. it'll be far better than the ksports, for 15% more in cost; $600 struts, $250-300 coilovers, $250-300 fabbing.
the mazdaspeeds are also in the same price range, and just as good.
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

i'm going to get the intrax onez with the 1.7inch drop if i can find them
i'll see the most i can get out of some springs
