I dunno if there's any advantage to the blanks unslotted and undrilled.

But I opted to have them slotted that there there actually is an advantage.

Good choice on the pads. Be careful you don't buy ones that are too aggressive, otherwise you won't be able to get enough heat into them to stop you car. Stay away from the full race pads. As for the rotors, get a good set of replacement blank rotors. There's no need to get ones that are drilled and/or slotted. Drilling makes the rotors weaker, and slotting just reduces the surface area of the brakes. For street driving, a blank is all you need. I've had good experiences with Brembo. And the stock size isn't too small unless you're planning on running the 24 Hours at Le Mans. For everyday driving all you need is the stock size. Save the money you would have spent on a big brake kit or replacement parts to fit bigger OEM rotors and spend it on stickier tires to further help the braking performance.

talk to anyone whos driven the 9" brakes and the 10" brakes, and they will tell you of the pathetic stopping capability of the smaller rotors.

You are "stuck" till you get bigger snow tires. But you could always sell the ones you have.

If I were you I'd throw some cheap pads on there to get through winter, then do the upgrade, sell your snow tires and buy some 14" ones at some point for next year.
