ok, my buddy was replacing my driver side lower ball joint and the bolt that goes thru the joint itself snapped, he says i need the whole mounting bracket, when i looked its the bracket that u bolt the strut to, and caliper, and the lower ball joint. i have had no luck trying to find what its called to even begin to look for one.

nah, its a whole peice, the lower ball joint goes on it, and the caliper and where u bolt the strut bolts at. its all in one peice but i cant find it anywhere.

the tie rod, balljoint, and strut all bolt to the spindle... the only other piece the balll joint is on is the lower control arm. you have a choice of either pick one....lol......

hmmm, well i went to the autozone site thing and seen if they had any but its not sayin its for my car.. i guess it s a dealer part.

im guessing he broke the pinch bolt and you need a spindle or knuckle assembly, whichever you want to call it...

yea thats the bolt... are they a pain to replace?

to replace the knuckle? not @ all, remove ur caliper and rotor, remove the axle retaining nut, then the 2 bolts attatching the knuckle assy. to the strut, and out it goes! ur balljoint is basically already out so thats one less thing to do.

hmmm sounds easy, what size socket is that bolt thingy? cuz i gotta go to the junkyard to get another one, im still driveing around with that broken ass ball joint.
