    The same numbers can be done with a BP hydraulic lifters CH!? Well, I guess you will have braggin VVT rights.


    It would be good to state the combo used, psi, if all accessories installed, etc on that dyno chart.

    No wonder with the Apex having it max out in the plus side gave me that nice punch.

        Great information, nice number. This is very helpful! though 250whp isn't high boost, this is about 14psi on a VJ23 wich is the stock wastegate setting. The high EGT appear abut 20-22psi, so this where I would start the water spray.

        Simple cam tuning rules for turbo engines:
        Advance intake and/or exhaust => more low-RPM power, less high-RPM power
        Retard intake and/or exhaust => more high-RPM power, less low-RPM power
        Less overlap=> lower EGTs, faster turbo spool, less fuel
        More overlap => higher EGTs, slower turbo spool, more fuel

        And according to this dyno plot, the full advance is 6 degrees and the full retard is 12 degrees.

            should be interesting to see what happens to therieldeals setup once he retards the intake cam.

              Hopefully not a "zoom zoom boom" !

              I'll probably retard the cam and tune everything like I normally would, then I'll go to the dyno and do a pull with it. Then shut it down, advance the cam timing, and see how much power I lose. I haven’t gotten a good dyno pull yet with the new cams, the 320hp/325tq was with stock BPT cams (low-lift intake cam).

                does anyone have information on the pwm signal that is sent? I dont have a 2001+ manual so I have no idea what it should be outputting at idle or full retard.

                somebody please get me the info I think I figured out a simple solution that takes a normal DC voltage in and can output whatever pwm frequency we need based on the voltage input, just need the specifics so i can get back to my buddy and we will try to put one together.

                  i feel like someone on Miataturbo figured it out and was using the MS open loop boost control table to control it. try searching around over there?

                      Unless you are drag racing, more than 18 psi is silly to have on a daily driven car.

                      One thing is what they do, lets see your setup...

                        most interesting thread so far. anyone else notice the first red/green graph has a similar cross over to that of a VICS.

                        to have absolute control of cam timing could open countless doors for our community.
