    Got that right haha

    So i changed out the ABS sensor, speedo still doesn't work....... changed the ECU to hope for a change in the running issue, still no change..... gotta get that diagnostics port wired in for sure lol

        Haha not yet, the protege is sitting outside now and with the rain yesterday, i didn't touch it lol

          This just hit me tonight.... what if i am missing the factory ignitors for the coil on plugs? could that cause my issue or without them, would there be no spark at all?

                    Is the TPS sensor adjustable on this car? I went though some similar issues on one of my motors and the TPS was out of adjustment. Probably not it but thought I would throw it out there.

                      The TPS is adjustable but I never touched it.... So considering the problem wasnt there in the millenia, it's safe to say the TPS is not the problem

                        how did it go with getting the diagnostics port wired in and scanning it??

                        Is it drivable yet? have you tryed driving it around at all?

                          wondering if since it was an auto if the pcm thinks its in park and gives it a rev limiter. I dont remember if the auto tranny has a tcm or not. if it does then see if there is a pin on the pcm that reads the transmission. if so this might be your issue

                            So last night, me and my buddy towed the protege to Durwood's house and we traded cars again lol he now has the P5 and will surely get it up and going and i now have his old 89 323 GT, it will need a new engine since this one has fried piston rings, but it still moves under its own power

                            I guess i'll have to edit my signature now lol

                                pfft i'm sure the protege will still get finished, i hate giving up on a project, but at least this one will still get finished
