I'm down with building a custom kit. my roommate said it would be cheaper to do that anyways. I just wanted to buy one that was already made, tested and dyno'ed
as far as skill.. i've driven a turbo'ed civic across town once i spend the day alone with a 3rd gen Rx-7 (i love em) so i don't have much experince really. And truely i don't care about being the fastest car out there. I just don't want have to down shift to 4th just to barely make it over hills and I love the turbo feel... well not the fastest but i would like to surprize a few people here and there haha.
I plan on just taking out a loan to get a turbo once i have my current one paid off. so i'm kinda wondering if i should call up wagner and ask them to make me one of there custom kits or just stop by the shop i goto and ask them to price out pieces for the turbo kit.sigpic

yeah it will be cheaper to source all the parts, its the labor to custom fab it all into the car that can get expensive, its not gona be a whole bolt up kit, but you prolly only spend maybe 1500-2000 dollars for all the parts. depending o how well you shop around, i got prolly 90 percent of my stuff from ebay, so i saved alot.
EDIT: this is the list i made up you can use that for a reference if you have not allready seen it.
