    Horse power boost

    Hey im thinking i would like to get about 220-250 hp out of my 2.0L protege... i just converted it over to manual from auto and am now looking to boost some power into her....
    I wanna still run on regular ocane fuel... as well...
    If you have any ideas on what i should run.... let me know.... i do wanna do turbo... i just have no idea what i should look for

    Sorry but high oct fuel will have to be used with a turbo.

        your best bet would be to piece together the parts from a mazdaspeed protege owner that is selling their stock turbo and other parts.

          Anything that forces more air into the combustion chamber (creates boost) is going to require the use of premium fuel in order to prevent detonation.

            I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight.               you might be able to get away with low timing and meth injection...but i wouldn't go over 6psi.

                    youc an def. make power out of the FS motors

                    you jsut cant cheap out on them, at all

                    i had a FS with bolt ons and a 50 shot and still couldnt beat a KL swapped 323 or escort
