My first thoughts "This should only take 40 minutes" I forgot that is how long an actual mechanic can do it in. For me about 2 hrs. These I thought would be a snap
For some reason I thougth the factory bushing would come out easy. Not so much. After a while I got the idea of using a hacksaw blad to cut off the end of the bushing so I was then able to pop it out the other side. DO THIS FIRST! Saves a ton of time. The factory bushing is one peice and just doesnt want to come out in one peice . Once it is out it is almost stupid easy to finish it up.
Then I did the shifter bushing which were shot. http://www.corksport.com/corksport-b...-bushings.html
The front wasnt hard and it lulled me into a false sense of relaxation. I said to my self Im down here I may as well do the rear ones which i figured would be almost as easy. WRONG. Not so hard but time consuming by yourself in the Hot Florida sun getting things lined up. Finally I get it done! I didnt use a torque wrench on it like cork sport suggested; I figured just dont go real tight I mean 15 ft/lbs of torque is nothing. WRONG. Shifter was very stiff. So I went an loosened it some. Drives much better still some slop but I am using the long handled stock shifter. This weekend I will go and use and actual torque wrench and use a thread locker as well. Seems to be woorthwile and the more I drive the easier it will be to shift. Definitly worth it though. Now that I have made the mistakes you can avoid them and do the whole job in under 1 hour.
