I want to try an get more hp but I don't have the money for a turbo and probably never will. So far all I have is a Tom's motorsport catback exhaust, Injen CAI, and this weekend I'm going to install an Unorthodox racing pulley. If you have any suggestions on what I else I can do on a low budget, feel free to let me know. Thanks.
i didn't worry about the cam gears...i plan on getting custom cams made...then i may invest in the gears...if you get the cams and a header...you'll have MUCH better airflow...which will give you a VERY nice gain...so check into a header...then grab up the cams. you'll love it.

A lot of numbers in these posts. The FSDE in the Gen 3 Proteges is Mazda
rated at 130 HP. My P5 dynoed at 104+ WHP, torque peaked at 114+.

The 130 figure is flywheel HP, as is the torque figure quoted by the factory.
These numbers are always under perfect atmospheric conditions, perfect
        fuel/air mixture, ignition timing, etc.

What you see on an accurate dyno is what you get.
