    Pinging

My 2003 P5 pings lightly when accelerating or when lugging the engine. After a 136K miles, I'm sure there's some carbon build up. I know the engine has a knock sensor, but some knock sensors don't eliminate 100% of the pinging. This may be okay.

So, I guess a Seafoam treatment is in order first. Then, a new set of plugs. If that doesn't reduce/cure it, what next (besides higher octane gas)? EGR valve, knock sensor?

Since I don't have the car yet, I don't know. I'll take a look this weekend.

If you can't differentiate between brake and break, you should go back to school

Sorry, no MM-38s or AM-39s here. The U.S. Govt frowns on private citizens with high-tech weapons, especially the foreign variety.

I was referring to the Miata-based kit car .

I know the guys that make them (based here in Georgia). I helped put one together and it's a blast - I have access to it whenever I want.

Sorry, didn't know there was such a thing. Looks like a fun ride.

Didn't really notice any pinging on the trip home today, at least not over the radio (low volume level). So, I'll have to keep an ear out for it.
