I have a 2001 Protege MP3. It has 100k miles on it and has been running great.
Recently after replacing my starter, it's been making some weird drivetrain noise. I don't think the starter change has anything to do with it, but maybe something my mechanic friend did in the process. It now makes an odd grinding noise when I left off the gas or I am coasting. While I'm accelerating it's still there, but much more subtle. Also, I've noticed this morning that there seems to be a rattling noise coming from what sounds like right in front of me in the drivers seat. And I've noticed that the clutch is a bit sticky now. Can someone please help shed some light on this problem?
