i just ordered an intake off of ebay and il have no problem installing it, but i have a question about the neg. terminal, do you have to unhook it and if u do how long should it be done for and what are the advantages?

      thanks

You would unhook the neg terminal to reset the ECU I did mine for an hour. Another thing that you want to do is seal the MAF really good its known to have vaccum leaks like the others posted b4. I did that with some gasket making goop that you can buy at auto stores, or you can make a gasket yourself from an used inner tube.

Hmmm, I thought the ECu reset was: remove neg. terminal and hold the brake pedal down for @15 seconds...

Depressing the brake pedal is just a fail safe way to make sure the electrical system is completely discharged. If you had the negative terminal disconnected for 10 minutes or so, I wouldn't worry about it.

It should be fine. Did you notice your tranny wanting to shift sooner than normal first time you started the car up? The tranny has to 're-learn' your shift points over time.
